Stock at the Timber Mill

Pyrenees Timber Pty Ltd is a small Family Owned, country sawmill situated in the Pyrenees Region. The business is operated by Sally & Ian Crick who are the third generation of Crick’s to produce timber at this sawmill.

Although it has only been operating as Pyrenees Timber Pty Ltd for the past eight years, it has been in the Crick family since 1956.

Originally owned and operated by James Crick (Ian's grandfather), it was eventually passed on to his three sons who traded as J L Crick & Sons. In the early years the mill produced hardwood sourced from farmers clearing for agriculture.

Ian and his brother bought the business from their father and uncle in 1989 and operated under the name of Crick Bro's Sawmills Pty Ltd. They continued until 2003 when the mill closed down.

Ian believed there was a need for a timber mill in the area and reopened under the current company name of Pyrenees Timber Pty Ltd in 2004. Specialising in products for rural customers, (Some examples are: timber suitable for shearing sheds and sheep yards, cattle yards, horse yards, fencing materials.) he realised the need to diversify and now produces a wider range of Hardwood timber products including F17 graded Structural Timbers, kiln dried flooring, Decking and Mouldings.

As well as producing timber which is sold direct to the public and to timber merchants, Pyrenees Timber Pty Ltd also offers contract sawing for customers who have their own logs.

Pyrenees Timber Pty Ltd are always on the lookout, as a business to see how we can be more energy efficient and responsible for our environment. We recycle and reuse our waste back into the process. The sawdust and wood chips go back into firing the Kiln for drying our timber. We also provide local groups with sawdust and wood chip to run their power sources
